IPS e.max CAD
IPS e.max CAD is suitable for crowns in the anterior and premolar regions, as well as single unit anterior implant restorations. Be confident prescribing this bondable restoration for your patients who demand the best in lifelike, translucent aesthetics.
IPS e.max CAD combines uniqueness and high performance. The innovative lithium disilicate ceramic fulfils the highest esthetic demands and unites state-of-the-art technology with exceptional user-friendliness.
The material is designed for fabricating esthetic, high-strength restorations using efficient CAD/CAM processing technology. The glass-ceramic is machined in a #soft# intermediate state in which it exhibits an unusual bluish colour. In this state, the material can be manually adjusted or cut back in a few quick and easy steps and the fit can be checked.
Subsequently, the material is crystallized at approximately 850 °C for 20 to 30 minutes. In this process, IPS e.max CAD acquires its final strength of 360 MPa and the desired esthetic properties, such as tooth shade, translucency and brightness.
You can fabricate restorations for individual teeth, for example, veneers, inlays and partial and full crowns, with IPS e.max CAD. Depending on the indication, the restorations can be conventionally placed.
